Days before his pregnant wife's due date, Los Angeles architect Peter (Robert Downey Jr.) is about to fly home from Atlanta when a series of unfortunate incidents land him on the "no-fly" list, forcing him to hitch a ride across the country with slacker Ethan (Zach Galifianakis).
